Age Guidelines

Children who apply for BCAP must be at least 7 years of age before the session that they attend and be no older than 12 years of age.

 

Our Camp Groups

Adventures are grouped with children in their general age range.

• Group A: 7–8-year-olds
• Group B: 8–10-year-olds
• Group C: 10–12-year-olds

Each BCAP Group consists of 20-23 children who are supervised by 4-5 of our highly qualified staff members. For more information on our staff, please follow the link in the navigation menu on the left side of your screen labeled Our Staff.

BCAP Adventures come from backgrounds as diverse as Brooklyn itself! We welcome children from all cultures, economic backgrounds, and family structures. We believe that one of the best ways to learn about diversity is by building friendships with diverse groups of people. We build a sense of community centered on common interests and respect for differences.

To help ensure that children from all economic backgrounds have equal access to BCAP Summer Camp’s award winning programming, we offer full and partial financial aid to families who qualify, based on their economic needs. Please click here to learn more about Financial Aid at BCAP.

You don’t need to be a Brooklyn resident to be a BCAP Adventurer! Each year we welcome children, not only from across the city but also the country, even a few from across the world!
